AuroraKIDS is designed with children's privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information about you or your child. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no logins. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
๐ฑ Data Stored on Your Device Only
All learning progress, profile names, avatars, and settings are saved locally on your device using your device's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
- Child name and avatar (stored locally, never uploaded)
- Letters and words learned (stored locally)
- Daily streaks and points (stored locally)
- Audio voice files downloaded for offline use (cached locally)
๐ Internet Access
AuroraKIDS requires internet access for one purpose only: downloading high-quality neural voice audio for Sinhala and English text-to-speech.
Voice audio is generated by Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services (Text-to-Speech) and cached permanently on your device after the first download. Once a voice has been downloaded, it plays instantly with no internet required.
The only data sent to Azure is the Sinhala or English text to be spoken (for example, the letter "เถ " or the word "cat"). No personal information, no device identifiers, and no location data is ever transmitted.
๐ณ In-App Purchases
AuroraKIDS offers a one-time optional unlock through the app store (Google Play or the App Store). Purchases are handled entirely by your device's app store and RevenueCat, a purchase verification service.
RevenueCat receives only the anonymous purchase receipt from your app store to verify the transaction. No payment card details, no names, and no email addresses are shared with us.
๐ก๏ธ Crash Reporting
In production builds, AuroraKIDS uses Sentry to capture anonymous crash reports. These reports contain technical information about the crash (such as a stack trace and device OS version) but contain no personally identifiable information, no child data, and no usage history.
Crash reporting is disabled entirely during development.

- We do not collect names, emails, or contact information
- We do not use advertising networks or show ads
- We do not track your child's activity across apps or websites
- We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties
- We do not use cookies or persistent device identifiers
- We do not require or request location access
- We do not access the camera or microphone
๐ถ Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
AuroraKIDS is designed for children and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR provisions for children (GDPR-K).
Because we do not collect any personal information from any user โ child or adult โ parental consent for data collection is not required. All interaction with third-party services (Azure TTS, RevenueCat, Sentry) is anonymous and contains no child-identifiable data.
๐ Updates to This Policy
If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and release an app update. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
