Top pillowing

Gaps, bumps or fuzzy patches on the top surface where it should be smooth and solid.

Likely causes, most likely first

1. Too few top solid layers
2. Not enough part cooling
3. Layer height too large for a clean top
4. Under-extrusion

Fixes to try

• Increase top solid layers (~5, or about 1 mm)
• Increase part cooling on upper layers
• Lower the layer height
• Check flow and that infill density is sufficient
