PC-ABS blend print settings

A polycarbonate/ABS blend: most of PC's heat and impact resistance, but it prints closer to ABS. An engineering material that needs a hot chamber.

Nozzle255–275 °C
Bed100–110 °C
Part cooling0–20 %
EnclosureRequired
Drying80 °C for 4 h
Shrinkage0.6–0.8 %
Density1.10 g/cm³

Enclosure: Expect warping, splitting layers or failed prints without one.

Bed surface & adhesion

Smooth PEI or garolite with an ABS slurry or glue stick, and a chamber that stays warm from the first layer to the last.

Retraction starting points

Direct drive0.5–2 mm
Bowden3–6 mm
Retraction speed25–45 mm/s

Low retraction usually suffices; an enclosure also reduces stringing.
